This past weekend Drew and I went to the Kite Festival in Zilker Park. Ever since we moved to this city almost four years ago, I've been itching to go to this festival. I would hear about it from friends, I'd see the kites in the distance from downtown, co-workers would come into work sunburned and raving about how wonderful their weekend was, and of course, my Facebook feed would be drowned in beautiful pictures of blue skies and kites everywhere! I told Drew last year, "WE ARE GOING NEXT YEAR WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" :) Well, we decided to go before my bridal session later that afternoon and it was SO much fun! :) We had bought a transformer kite about three years ago when we had planned on going to fly a kite one afternoon, but it ended up raining, and we have had it in our hall closet this whole time. Finally, Optimus Prime got to come out and play! We also met up with my friend/blogger Nikol, her boyfriend Robbie, and their friend Ryan. It was such a fun, relaxing and much needed day in the sunshine! :)
Looks like so much fun!!
